Bleeding to death is not that bad. Think you'll just get sleepy from lack of oxygen delivery, go to sleep, then cardiac arrest. Lady m,usta been on anticoagulant therapy.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

I wouldn’t say rooster attacks are rare, they’re just almost never fatal. We had a rooster for a while and he attacked us all the time, so we ate him. He drew blood on me twice and that was the end.

But their job is to protect the hens, and they will attack whatever they perceive as a threat.

So you didn't learn you lesson the first time?

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Coyote just caught my rooster. The ladies are in mourning some but relieved also that they aren't having to watch their back as much.

There is video of a guy getting squished by an elevator recently, that had to suck for the seconds he knew what was going on.

Brings back nightmares as a kid. When I would get off the bus we had a long driveway that made a sharp turn just before it opened up to our yard with the house sitting in the back. There was a big stump that was equally as far to the front door at the end of the driveway. As soon as I'd round that corner our old rooster would come off that stump like he was on crack straight for me. It was a race that usually ended in a photofinish at the door and I hope to God it was unlocked. I usually had to shed atleast my lunchbox to slow him down sometimes my backpack too. My parents got a kick out if it but that abruptly ended when he finally attacked my mom one morning. He got the 12 gauge that afternoon when pops got home. Hated that rooster

Same here, Grandad would laugh his [censored] off when the rooster would chase my cousin and I. One day it jumped on the youngest (female) cousin and he grabbed it an lopped its head off with a hatchet. My first lesson in how the world turns...

This one may top it off.
May have fallen in to an 18" crack behind a cooler in a supermarket. If true, he likely died of starvation while struggling to get out and yelling to be rescued.

I did, but it was the second time that convinced my wife to let me kill him and smoke him.

Personally I think all methods of dying are the worst way to go.

It used to be common for farmers to have a mean rooster. I remember when I was a kid a man told me to watch out for his rooster, "Cause he'll flog you if you turn your back on him."
