I would just like some feedback. I have a 2011 21 FT Skeeter with a 250. Great boat. No issues. But I got it to tournament bass fish with my son on the high school team. Well, he is older now and while I still fish, I don't bass fish as much. It's more fishing and also wanting to go to the lake for fun. I have considered the Tahoe Deck boat with the fishing package at Bass Pro. Not a fish and ski, but a large boat with room for friends and still has a trolling motor, etc. Has anyone else here owned a deck boat and fished from it?

My brother did and it was awesome for the family weekends. Would take it out at dawn and dusk to fish, and pull the kids around in between. Miss having that option.

We recently bought a Avalon tritoon (3 tubes) with 150 yamaha. (tahoe made by Avalon also). It has a remote hand held (wireless) device for troll motor., can be operated from back seat if you want to, I have not tried it in any strong wind but it does work in 3 MPh. It is set up for fishing with 2 pedestal seats up front that swivel and lean back and turn , also 2 in back do the same. It has seat, couch in center seats 4 easy. We like it for cruising, tubing, fishing. All 9 in our family go out at one time.
Smile while you still have teeth.

A good friend of mine had one like you described, he got a lot of multi use out of it and we caught a lot of sandbass and hybrids out of it!

Hard to beat a tritoon or center console for multi purpose use. If you lean more toward the leisure side(tubing, crusing, etc), I would get the tritoon. If you lean a little more toward the fishing side might consider a center console. I switched from a center console to a bass boat last yr and miss my center console. Just has so much more flexibility than a bass boat. There really isn't a boat made that is more single purpose than a bass boat.

I have had same idea. I have even started the research. Im looking at Sea Hunt and Sportmans center console. This way I can fish fresh or saltwater.

Check out the new Tahoe 2150CC. Same hull as the deck boat but a great layout for family fun and flips to a fishing boat in minutes.

I went from a fishing boat to a Nautic Star deck boat (203SC) with an F150 for the same reasons. Added a trolling motor and Helix. Overall, pleased. My major complaint is that the front casting deck is tiny and the trolling motor takes up a good chunk of it. Not sure what your budget is but have you looked at the Yamaha FSH 210? Reading good reviews.
