I hit Lake Granger from 8am till noon, looking for Whites. No shad boils, and did not mark fish on deep or shallow main lake humps. I skipped a Mepps across the bottom in places where the shad were thick, trying to draw a strike. Nothing.

I have had great fishing trips on Granger in August, but this was not one of them.
