Few pics of our last trip. Headed down to PINS a week ago this past Tuesday with high hopes of landing a big shark. We knew the smaller shark would have moved out due to the shrimp boat fishing offshore this time of year. Water was beautiful and reminded me of Mexico. Unfortunately there was a cold water upwelling that happened just a couple of days before we got there. Surf was calm but water was cold. No Bueno for sharkin’! We fished about 40 miles down PINS with no shark to show for it. Next morning we packed up and headed toward Bob Hall pier looking for warmer water. We found some and set up camp not far from the entrance. Two days later without a bite, we pack up camp and head north three hours to a spot I thought we could land some reds and possibly pick up a bull shark. Got set up right before dark and had to paddle out a couple of baits in the dark in rough conditions. Talk about some sketchy stuff!!! About 11pm my buddy picks up a good red and then one of the shark rods starts going off about 1am. Battle was short and fish was still green when we got him up to get him unhooked to release. Turned out turned out to be a lemon shark and a fat one! Few pics and back it went to swim another day. Unfortunately we didn’t catch anything else that night and ended up packing up to head home the next morning.

Wow nice! I recently went to Yarborough pass around the 15mile mark and had no issues driving through the sand. How was the drive through big shell and to the 40mile mark? Planning a trip out there soon. Thanks!

Wasn't too bad, I got there at low tide and left at high. Got stuck twice driving to where I wanted to set up camp in Gorda.
