Noticed a few properties available @ White Oak Shores. Has the Giant Salvinia situation improved? is there still basically no main lake access from those properties?

TPW opened a gate back in spring. They have aren't seeing any problems. We are a gated park and doing well. There are some places for sale developed and not.

Forgive my ignorance and lack of knowledge about this area, been a long time since I spent a lot of time on Fork.

How can/does White Oak Shores restrict access to any part of a public lake? Not trying to be a jerk, merely curious.

The TPWD closed the access to control Giant Salvinia. The boom keeps the vegetation from floating out to lake and spreading like crazy. White Oak Shores controls the land in our park not any of the water in Lake Fork. It is the same process they used in Chaney to control spread.

It was never said that White Oak Shores controlled anything, only our access to open water was restricted. Since the TPWD hadn't found Salvinia since early spring they opened a gate to make it easier to gain access and still be able to shut it down if the stuff reappeared.
