I just used the cheap stuff from Lowe’s the other day and it seems to be doing quite well.

Had a Aunt who lived on the lake and was always trying to kill the spiders. She got very sick, come to find out it was all the poison she was spraying with so just be careful.

Suspend SC. I rotate that with Demon every other year, and have the same results but no visible residue.

Mo, are you talking about a small area where you need to get and they are in the way? I'm confused as to why they would be a problem outside unless you're staying outside. It's going to be 102 here today so I won't be seeing any spiders or any other creatures. grin

Large covered back porch ( 8 by 20 ) over looking the lake , we spend a lot of time out there.

The trim is musket brown , spider webs and nests show up more than on a lighter surface.

I use this at the ranch, people/pet safe and kills anything that gets on it for months. I spray the sidewalk around the perimeter and baseboards inside, never see a film.

Just my personal experience, but killing the existing spiders outdoors is similar to killing fire ants.
Others just show up and take their place.
I wish I knew of something that would be a long term solution outside but I haven't found it yet. I have to fight my way through cobwebs every morning when I leave my house through a covered porch.
Only the cooler weather seems to see them move along.

This. Spray a couple times a year and your good to go and no visible residue.

The arc of this story never arc’ed. Was there a happy ending?

I do not kill spiders with the exception of black widows and brown recluses. Spiders are good. My ex hated them. Probably another reason why I do not kill them.

Her kidneys were shutting down and luckily she had a good doctor who asked her a bunch of questions after her blood work came back - and knew there was something strange going on. Once she stopped with all the spraying she got better. She was a clean freak and just couldn't live with the spider webs all over her back porch and dock. She started using a pressure washer and after a while she just gave up and ended up moving away from the lake where she spent her last few years out in the country.

So a few years later, I'm on the lake and go by her old lake house fishing. As I approach the dock the owner comes over and starts asking me how's the fishing, I start the conversation off with well not so good, I was just wanting to look at the old place and then it hit me, I went to high school with this guy. We had a an old reminiscent 20 minutes about the place and her of course.
