Lake Fork is absolutely just kicking our butt, we have been there twice over the last few weeks and have a total of 3 fish for both trips. We are fishing points, humps, road beds, creek channels near points and still nothing doing. We fished 2 humps yesterday that had fish just stacked between them and never got a bite, not the right kind of fish or what ??? We started at first light on a hump that came up to a pretty shallow depth (9') and only got one bite and missed that fish and after fishing that and some other structure around the area, we finally moved up near the bank and caught 2 fish on a small drop and one of those was almost 7 pounds. One of those came on a 10" power worm and the other on a drop shot. That was the only 2 fish caught for the rest of the day up until 2:30 when we finally gave up and left. Dang you Lake Fork !!!!!! Lol. We fished water from 3' all the way out to 30' and just never got in fish. We graphed a lot of humps that had fish on them and they were located in various positions in relation to the humps but we just could not get them to bite. There was also plenty of bait fish in almost all of the areas that we went to but we just could not catch any fish. We fished Texas rig, c-rig, drop shot, crank baits but it just wasn't meant to be i guess. To add insult to injury, we finally trolled up and down a bridge and couldn't even catch a white bass. What were all of the fish that were clustered around the humps that we fished ??? Can't help but wonder. Just wasn't our day and I will really struggle to head back to Lake Fork unless I just go to A-J's to eat. Lol. Good luck to everyone and to those of you that are on fish, you earned it.

That time of year man, you are doing the right thing. I have been graphing 5-10 different schools before finally firing em up. Burn that fuel until you get em going.

Hind sight is 20-20 now but the only thing that I didn't try is a jigging spoon. I just now thought about it.

Go fish docks. Most underrated fishing at Fork. Especially in summer and this late in the summer. My PB of over 11lbs came late in summer on a dock in about 5'. Have hit a dock and caught an 8, a 6 and two 4's in 5 pitches. Other docks there can be loaded with fish and you can catch several from them. Texas rig a Cali 420 color soft plastic with just a touch of chartreuse on a 3/8-1/2oz setup and start covering water.

Fall is awesome out there....throw a squarebill and there are times you will have one hooked and 3-4 others trying to take the crankbait away from it as you are reeling the fish in. It gets really good when most start focusing on deer hunting and the lake gets less pressure.

Fishing docks is kinda a taboo thing for me, my fishing partner is 82 and not really his thing so I try to choose patterns and areas that are best to keep him in productive water. But, if I am ever fishing there by myself, I will surely give it a try.

Nobody does it and it’s an amazing technique. My PB 12.54 came off a dock on fork. Lost count of the 7 and 8s caught on a shakey head on them.
I can backlash toilet paper.

One of the best posts I have seen on here in ages. Someone looking for some advice on a particular lake and several people already stepped up with good info. I always thought that one of the main purposes of this site was to share info and help others out. Glad to see it working this time at least. Wish I could add some useful info but have to admit it has been really hit and miss for me also. I am still getting some drop shot action in 20 + around some brush piles on main points.

There are some in the area. Remember no matter how janky the dock may look, give it a few pitches. You might be surprised. especially if its kinda isolated or unique in some way. Even the super shallow ones.
