Just installed a HDS 7 Carbon with a TotalScan transducer mounted on the trolling mtr. Took it to the lake today for a test and do not have sonar (just a white screen). The TotalScan does have sonar capabilities doesn't it? Took awhile to get the down and sidescan working and the scroll speed is really slow. Any ideas on the sonar? I tried re-booting and set everything back to default (that's how I finally got the structure scan to work). The trolling motor has a universal sonar transducer built in but I left in unplugged on the back of the unit since I installed the TotalScan. The totalscan covers the universal transducer anyway. Any thoughts?

If it is a first time use, you might check and make sure the graph is set to the type of transducer you are using. might be it

Make sure you are using channel 2 for sonar.

Make sure the correct transducer is selected. It should auto detect. Tim

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

It auto selected to Channel 2 on the installation screen but on the sonar screen it shows channel 1. However the sonar did start scrolling which it wasn't before. I'll take it to the lake tomorrow and check it out.
