That boat may not be burning interest, but it devalues every day that ticks by. Personally, I’d lowball them big time and offer a number that might shock them. They’ll say No, but later they’ll think about it. Give it a month if they say no and then bump the offer a few thou. Approach it like you don’t need the boat, but would take it if cheap enough. They don’t want it. Their lack of care shows that.

If you offer a number and they jump on it, you offered too much. Start LOW, real low, with a 2 as the first number in the offer.

This. The boat is not going anywhere. You have leverage, they don't.

I bought a 15 yr old boat with 42 hours in it.

I had to have the engines entire fuel system “scrubbed” and I installed all new filters (4 of them) and new injectors. Bought 4 new batteries and new tires. At that point, it was lake ready.

I had $800 in the fuel servicing
$1250 worth of batteries
$180 in GOOD tires.

I saved over $30,000! Vs a “new” demo with MORE hours.

The savings went to other things that the boat didn’t need, but I wanted.

Go buy the boat and be happy that you don’t have to cringe at the first little scuff or shoe in the seat.
Insist that the motor warranty and “new boat” warranty on all the other stuff STARTS when you hook it to your truck.

Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I would keep looking. The dealer let $54,000 sitting in the weather for 2 plus years. That is very irresponsible to say the least. You may be able to negotiate a great deal and then be unable to have the dealer honor his promises. Keep us informed on the outcome.

doubt that anybody in the general public would have leverage on bps.

Too many negatives vs positives. I would not be surprised if the wiring wasn't chewed to bits by mice, rats.

Sure he does, just has to play the game.. They have a depreciating asset on their books, taking up space in their parking lot, eye sore for customers, etc. When they approach the end of a fiscal quarter, the GM for the store will deal. The regional and district leadership might not, but if the store is missing topline plan, he/she will listen to a cash offer.

Go elsewhere. After sitting neglected that long it could have all kinds of problems come up later. A warrant is great but ideally you wont have to use it much. Set up for a heache imo
