Rocks early with topwater and squarebills. Then move out deeper to humps, points or brush piles with a Carolina rig baby brush hog, or flip isolated wood with a tx rig. Drop shot is good for numbers too.

There is grass along the bridge by the oasis. Hydrilla. About an acre worth. That’s all I know of.

There is grass along the bridge by the oasis. Hydrilla. About an acre worth. That’s all I know of. And a frog worked over the top of it at daylight or dusk will get some action. A CR on the edges will do it too! Good call Steez! There's some good tank dams south of the bridge on the east arm that hold fish in the summer. There's also a great big one just north of the bridge of the east arm about 150 yards or so off the west bank that used to hold fish. I haven't been on Pool in a couple of years but I lived near it for 10 years when it first opened up and it had some really good fish in it! I never caught anything over 8 but caught lots of 5 - 7 pound fish.

Long sloping points or points with wind blowing across it.
Try finding deep rocky high spots or ones with brush on it. Its also much easier after dark.

Fish some brush for crappie with crappie jigs and you will catch all you want. Can't keep them nasty things off lately.

Pool is a real puzzler in the summer. Its the lake I have chosen to focus on since moving to Texas and its just tough. Because of the wind, it fishes really small. You can beat the bank and catch dinks.. but finding offshore places that the wind will let you fish is a challenge. I have recently got a new TM with spot lock and I think that will help greatly, but will still be hard to fish in some places. Steez turned me on to some types of water that have fish on them some times of the year, but not consistently. My car has been in the shop lately so haven't had a chance to go fish, but I'm itching to get back out there. Donald Harper's concept of fishing contours has produced fish for me as well. I think that now its at least in the 15' range to find fish.. long points along that contour is what I'm going to try next time out. Good Luck.

Agree 4 weeks ago we were catching them pretty decent then they disappeared well moved and now just can’t seem to find em but I bought a lake chip card for my graph and hoping that helps with the contour of the lake.
