1984 Mazda B2000 "compact" pickup. It was the smallest pickup truck I've ever seen, with hardly any hauling or towing ability. But it was cheap and got me around.

1977 Chevy Nova, Concours. Metallic Buckskin paint. 305 tied to a POS Metric 200 transmission (AKA as the cellophane shatterbox).
Car had a great radio, I could pick up stations all over the place. Treated it more like a truck when I was at SFA.

The engine was solid as could be. When I sold it in 85 the ad said 'Chevy 305 for sale. Comes complete with 77 Nova.'

1975 Chevy C10, with the 454 4bbl Carb and 3 on the tree, 8' Bed. Vinyl bench seat, no carpet, no headliner, AM Radio, no power steering. Bed had rusted out, so my dad and I welded in a sheet of 1/4" diamond plate. Back bumpers were optional back then, so we welded some angle iron to the frame and welded a 6" I-Beam to the angle iron. Painted it with a $50 Sears compressor and paint gun. Was a nice 5/55 paint job (looked okay at 5 feet or 55 mph). I was a volunteer fireman, so I had a Federal Q2 mechanical siren under the hood (drew so much current the damn truck slowed down when I stepped on the switch) and Federal Strat-O-Ray on the roof.

Got all of about 8 miles to the gallon. Miss that truck.

I had a 65 and yes you could live in the back seat. (I did for a couple of months before Uncle Sam kidnapped me)

1975 CJ5 with the straight six which was bored 60 thou over and the heads were worked. Dual port manifold with a Holley 490 and a worked over rv cam. 427's front and back which would lift the front tires going into 2nd gear. Put a 3.14 transfer case gear ratio in and rebuilt the T18 tranny. Did the leaf over axle lift, custom/home built ladder system and would run 36's. The thing was a mountain goat but would only hit 55 mph running downhill with a stiff tailwind.

It was a redneck woman panty dropper at the mud bogs, 9 mile hill and Elephant Butte lake every Memorial/Labor Day weekend.
