My wife's sister lives up around Fort Worth so occasionally I'll swing by the Brazos river below Lake Whitney on my way to drop off or pick her up from a weekend visit.

Pretty good stuff right there. I see you were in a yak. I want one but it'll have to wait a bit. How much of that area is wadeable without a boat?

Great video. In it you showed a dragonfly. I have bought several similar ones called dragonfly rubber legs. I am just starting to tie and can't find any instructions on tying them. Like you said they are great on sunfish/bass.

j_hirn2 check out the Feathercraft catalogue they have the stuff to do bass/'gill sized dragonflies and if I remember right they have a kit that has instructions and all. Kits are a good way to learn tying because they have the correct material in the correct sizes. I am talking about kits for specific flies; the generic "get started in tying kits" are good for basic tools but the material will leave you frustrated when it comes to creating an actual pattern.
