I've got a friend coming in from out of state in October (dates haven't been set yet). I'm looking for some suggestions of lakes near San Antonio/Austin, don't want to do the long drives to Falcon or Fork,

Thanks in advance.

Boy that ain't no joke. Was there yesterday trying to find some offshore stuff. Almost got swamped twice. Hey Brando, does Lake Marble Falls have same quality as LBJ? Got off LBJ at noon yesterday and drove across 281 bridge. Hardly anyone on Marble Falls.

I would go Inks WAY before MF. (Providing the ramp gets done)

It has some decent bass. They caught a share a lunker a few yrs ago. Up river it gets tricky to navigate. Very little pressure. Inks would be my first choice but I wouldn’t be scared to fish Marble

I like Georgetown. We went the a couple of years ago and hammered the bass on soft plastics and jigs.
