One of the ladies here is a quiet talker. I'm half deaf and struggle to understand most of what she says. After 100 times asking her to repeat herself you'd think it would click. my wife does it too. SPEAK UP PEOPLE!

This 100%. At my job it's compounded. My manager is Nigerian (female) with a very thick accent and fails to project her voice . . . I struggle !

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Why don't you just get a hearing aid? Sounds like its your problem. Not hers.

My wife walks into another room facing away from telling me something. I say huh and she gets all pizzed telling me I’m hard of hearing. Wears me out. I have also had coworkers like you spoke of and they also get offended if you say “huh” or “say it again”. I guess they have no clue they’re quiet talking.

I got hearing aids because I needed them and to hear my wife's soft spoken words. I have had to repeatedly tell her that if we are not in the same room, I can't hear her. She still does it. I told her I got hearing aids to hear her and she still will not up her volume. I guess if it's important enough she will yell at me..lol
