Insane. Just spent 1675 on tires for my truck. I used to have a direct buy from the warehouse and was able to cut out the middleman. They changed their policies and I had to go through a shop. Sticker shock to say the least but I must have good quality as much as I’m on the roads and pulling heavy loads.

Dual rear?

That’s insanely high.

4 BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A 275/55-20 was $760 at Discount tire. Will buy Michelin or Pirelli next time, we the BFG’s are only going 30k miles on a set. The Michelin is about the same the Pirelli is about $5 a tire more.

Well the 1st set of tires I had on my Tundra went 80,000 miles before needing to be replaced. Never got over 40,000 on a new truck before.

I replaced them with the same tire from Discount Tire and they were $1,200.

I guess that tires are better quality today than they were in the past.

That’s still way too much. I had 35’s on my last vehicle, a wrangler, and I was able to get Goodyear MTR Kevlar tires for around $1100.

On my previous. It’s 255/75. Not 275/55. And it is the OEM Tundra 4x4 tire. They do not last.

I have 65k on my Tundra and it’s time for it’s 3rd set of tires! The OEM tires last about 30k with constant rotation and air checks. I do pull a boat about 80-90% of those miles, so that could be extra wear. I think this 3rd set will be leaning more towards an all season tire vs. an all terrain.

Ouch!!! Were they BFG's? (I just bought a Tundra and believe that is what it has on it - guess I need to keep an eye on them)

Have 40k on my TKO's and they still have a lot of tread...and that's with my lead foot daughter driving.

It pays to keep mileage records and cost of tires to see what they end up costing per mile. I once did this with a set of Michelins as opposed to a set of Coopers. The Michelins got more mileage than the Coopers. However, the Coopers cost less per mile. Since then I buy Coopers on line from various sources and take them to WalMart to mount and life time balance. Keep the old tires and dispose of them myself - don't ask how. Get them rotated and balanced each time the oil is changed.

I run Nitto’s on my truck and rotate them every other oil change. They seem to last forever

It came with Michelin LTX Defenders. They have 55,000 on them now. Great highway tire but not for the ranch or even the dump. Wanted a bit more aggressive and to fill the wheel well....

So far this year, I have bought 9 tires, and my company paid for one other on my company car. I’m tired of buying tires.

Same....

I've had nothing but good luck on Nitto's.

I've been running them for years and any vehicle I own has them.
