Ray Roberts has stayed pretty hot all summer. The fish have been a little ore territorial than normal but we are still catching a lot of fish and a lot of big fish. Timber fishing in my opinion is without a doubt the best way to catch more quality fish. I�ve been fishing 14-25 foot of water mostly and catching all of my fish on a 1/8 oz jig head tipped with a minnow. I�m always working against the fish. That�s how I feel 95 percent of my bites. They aren�t the most aggressive fighting fish. Working up is the best way to feel the resistance of a bite. Timber fishing can be frustrating when you aren�t used to it though. If you�d like book a trip to learn how to timber fish efficiently, it�s a good time to do it. If you�d like to just go out and catch some good crappie, we will do that too. I have this Saturday morning open as of now. My plans have changed and I will be in town. I also have some opening nexts week to go as well. We did the working mans trip last night and it was a blast. We boated 43 crappie in 3 hours and one of them was a monster slab.
