I had the Taurus Millennium Pro PT140. Evert time I field stripped it, I had to return it back to the factory for them to do reassemble it. Not just me, but 4 or 5 other guys couldn't do it either. After the third time I sold it to my neighbor who said he never cleaned his guns.

Stay away from Taurus, Bersa, and any other brand you have never heard of.

If you can jump up into a small full size gun such as a Glock 19 or Walther PPQ

9mm

Why is that? Bersa and Taurus makes a quality weapon. Not impressed at all with glock.

That is misinformation
Neither brand can pass any military or LEO testing.

Taurus is one of the biggest jokes out there.

don't spread fud

The Thunder 380 is suited for concealed carry due to its small size and rounded trigger guard.[2] One reviewer calls it "very easy to maintain".[3] The Thunder 380 is quite popular in many South American countries, where the .380 ACP is often the most powerful cartridge allowed to civilians.

A number of military and law enforcement forces have included Bersa 380's in their inventory, including the Ecuadorian Air Force. The Thunder 380 is suited for concealed carry due to its small size and rounded trigger guard.[2] One reviewer calls it "very easy to maintain".[3] The Thunder 380 is quite popular in many South American countries, where the .380 ACP is often the most powerful cartridge allowed to civilians.

it's almost identical to the walther ppk.

I won't speak to tauras as I've never owned one.

Obviously popular in the third world countries where they are made. Basically a step up from llama and far from a non budget Walther

my point was not everyone can afford a high end gun and there are choices for them too. Personally I'll take the bersa over the ppk and price isn't the only reason, but it's a big one. Also, i prefer a DA/SA over a striker. again it's a personal preference, but you must have complete confidence in what you carry. Your life depends on it. cheers

PPQ is the Walther to get. I find the common person is better with a D/A only in a stressful situation.
If a person wants a DA/SA I would look into the CZ’s

Get a Judge. With the .410 shells, you wont have to worry about shooting through the intruder and killing a neighbor.

I have a Sig p225 and a Sig P6. 10 round 9mm magazines. Both were used. Both are semi-auto so I guess that makes them assault pistols.
