Just finished a box of Garlic which I bought by mistake. Two things I found (at least in the box I got), is that they appear to be softer and easier for the dinks to strip off the hook, and they don't catch any more fish then the regular. Oh, and the worms at Academy are $3.99 and at Walmart they are $3.53.

I used to put a garlic additive to both worms and salmon eggs in my native CO for trout. Brown trout seemed to really like it but I have never tried it on sunfish. May work but I don't see it working any better than natural worms in lakes. The trout were in rivers and streams so scent helped some.

I bought them once and had the same thoughts as above. They work but no better than regulars. And it also seemed like they were more easily picked off the hook to me too.

Any of you bait users ever use Garlic Worms? Years ago I experimented with garlic, licorice and other scents. I could not tell that they helped. The green glow worms are less healthy than plain worms. Plain Canadian Night Crawlers cut into 1 inch segments will beat any thing else I have tried except live crickets, which beat all. Live crickets are not readily available in small quantities in the DFW area.

Sure they are. Go to any Petsmart and you can get them in any quantity you want. They stock them for people that keep lizards as pets.

Sure they are. Go to any Petsmart and you can get them in any quantity you want. They stock them for people that keep lizards as pets. Pet Smart buys the crickets from Armstrong. In this area they buy the small sizes and sell them by a price each which is exorbitant. I simply do not consider Pet Smart a viable supplier. Thanks for the suggestion though. How are you settling in in Amarillo? Have you been able to scope out the area lakes?
