Any recommendations on who you like and have had success with company wise? I have been with Discount Power for 8 years with no issues but Pennywise bought them out and I am now having issues. Already checked out power to choose website but wanted some opinions too. Plan on switching today or tomorrow. Thanks

I went with Energy Ogre last month based on reviews and positive comments on the TFF.

Reliant at my home, and Cirro for one of the rental houses (tenant reimburses me for it).

Might not be the cheapest prices, but when I do need to contact them, I get a real live human being quickly.

Try Griddy 10 dollars a month and electricity at whole sale prices, no mark up.

My June bill was .11 X 1597 kWh. Where TXU gets me is the Centerpoint TDU Delivery Charges $64.35. When I had Reliant they were around .16 pr kWh and the delivery charge was so small I hardly noticed.

The bad thing that has happened with de-reg is the delivery charge. It should be the same regardless of the provider. Either TXU/ONCOR or Reliant are the deliverers(is that a word) but the providers are using the charge to make money instead of it being a pass thru as it should be.

I use Energy Ogre primarily because I'm too busy/lazy to research it myself. Energy Ogre charges $10 a month for something you can do yourself for free if you're so inclined. They just locked me in for 12 months with Our Energy for an average cost of 8.2 cents (actually looks to be ~7.9 cents this month) a kwh. They have saved me quite a bit of money as I'm one of those people that would just let it ride for several years as the price inevitably creeps higher. Energy Ogre will do all of the legwork and switch you to the best plan available when your current contract expires.
