I am not a avid cat fisherman but when my Grandson is home on leave I can usually spend a couple of extra days with him if I go on the cat fishing trip with him. I bought a bag of deer corn that had gotten wet and the corn molded so my wife couldn't feed it to the Geese in our backyard. So I started throwing it around my dock and I now have gobs of catfish around the dock.
My question is will cheese bait work on Yellow cats and Blues like it does on Channels? If not what will? I have shrimp, liver and a bait shop is right across the street if I need something different.

I fish on the edge and stay out of the middle

I've caught many blues and channels on cheese bait, but never a yellow cat.
Blues and channels will eat just about anything, but the yellow cats prefer live bait, so set out some dock lines or R/R baited with live bait and see what happens.
