River ramp on 59 on the Edna side. So many crappie on brush piles. Not sure if anyone in the area still sells minnows but crappie and decent bass are there. Seen good cats caught on trot lines just south of 59. White bass run the creeks in February.

Texana is a great catfish lake. It also has some really good bass and crappie. I have not fished for bluegills. Problem with Texana is fluctuating water levels. Between the chemical plants and the City of Corpus Christi, it can drop several inches a day. Right now it is a foot and a half low. That is where problems begin if launching from the old state park ramp. You have to be careful till you get away from the 111 bridge. It is mostly murky water due to winds and shallow water. It can get real rough with a 10 to 15 mph wind. When I fish it, I fish it like the bay, arrive early and get off the water at noon..
