Any opinions on the Pro Green rod series for bass fishing? About the same price point as the IMX line, I'm assuming the rod guides are designed for saltwater use. Anything else?

I've had one for 5 years... spinning, paired with a Sustain 2500 ... I liked it a lot before trimming 4" off in electric window. PGR882S 7'4'' 1/8-3/8 1 piece 6-12 lb Fast Medium

I did that with an E6X 7'3" medium spinning rod that is now a 6'11" med-heavy extra-fast rod that my buddy uses for spinnerbaits. I used the rear door of my 4Runner for the operation.

I guess I'll find out about the rods. I just won/purchased two of them from American Legacy Tackle's eBay store for a buck and a quarter each, basically half-price. One is an 863C, your basic med-hvy/mod-fast action standard casting rod, probably no surprises there. The other will be an experiment for me because it's an 821C, 6'10" med-light/fast action. I typically rarely if ever use rods lighter than medium action, casting or spinning. Finesse-type baits for sure. I'll probably pair it with an SLX DC I just got. So, we'll see.
I also plan to take them to the coast later this year. I have a couple Falcon Coastal series rods, and they catch bass pretty well too.
