I have 2 and love them both. Very good option

I like the Dobyns Champion 736c or 766, especially the 766 Fl IP.. I use the 766 most of the time. Hope this helps. They are both rated Fast and Heavy. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Power Tackle for sure. I have used the PG104 for years and haven't found a better rod. For punching grass you would most likely need to step up to a 104.5. I just got my hands on the new "The One" rod this week and very impressed with it so far.

I use a St Croix Mojo Slop-n-Frog rod. It is a 7'4 rod. They have a 7'11 flippin stick but I don't like using a rod that long. $140-150 or so for either rod. I don't use a super high end rod for frogs or flipping as I don't think you need quite the sensitivity for this vs a weightless plastic (I use an NRX for that).

Flipping stick is one of the few rods you need to pay up for quality. So much force applied to the rod you need quality components to handle it. If you're truly flipping heavy grass, you need something like a power tackle, gloomis, or upper end daiwa. The other option is to have one built on a quality blank. I have a rogue blank from 2007 that I use. It's on its 3rd set of eyes and still going strong.

I haven't seen this one but I use the Power Tackle 104.5 and it works very well for what you want.

I have two of the Kistlers and they are great, but if you don't want to drop that much coin, go get your hands on a Lews Hack Attack flipping stick (red one)- Academy has them.
They are about $90 and I used it more than I did my Kistlers last two days
The handles are the Winn grips and it's great rod for the money

I won one of these and have been very impressed so far. Give Carlos a call.

The LPC 970 is the Pow-R-Point version of the 104.5. Just as strong but a lot lighter.
