caught 5-6 in an hour or so on my first try with a buzz. we started with spinners and were catchin dinks so decided to try something new. buzz baits are my new favorite bait. the strikes were crazy! caught one were he jumped an easy 2 feet out of the water. awsome time for sure

In ponds, from the bank, try casting almost parallel to the bank about 7-10 feet out !! It will drive the ones in the hydrilla crazy !! thumb

Nice fish. It is exciting when they crash a bait on the surface. For a bigger rush, try a floating topwater , like a Heddon torpedo.

Here's a good tip too. have another rod rigged up with a weightless worm (like a Senko type bait).

If you get a big hit on the buzz, but the fish misses. Reel in and grab the other rod. Cast right to where the miss was and let it fall and sit.

I'll bet I get about 50%-70% of those fish to hit that worm.

Awesome advice, don't miss out on this one. You may also want to try a trailer hook for the short strikes.
