A guy at Olsens the other day told me he caught a big (12lb+) hybrid on EM and that another guy he knew had a young daughter that caught a 6lb hybrids--sounds like a load of ^%$^% to me since hybrids have never been stocked there according to TPWD but what do ya'll think?

i agree. there are some nice magnum sandies there, but i have never heard of hybrids or striper. the guy may have caught a 12 pound drum smile

however, keep in mind that marine creek, as well as some other lakes i fish at, do not have record of sandbass being stocked, but believe me they are there.

Since Bridgeport has them it is possible for them to get in the river and come down to e/m. I have heard of an occasional one being caught. They have never been stocked in E/m.

EM lake record hybrid 11.9 lbs. BP lake record hybrid 10.5 lbs. If TP&W stocked EM with hybrids, it would be killer. Mucho bait. They come from BP as Johnny said. Mostly, when it floods. Been a long time for that tho. I caught hybrids on EM in the late 90's. Also caught em in the river towards Boyd. Have not heard any recent reports of hybrids on EM. Could be true tho...

I caught a 10.3 in 02 and caught a few more decent sized fish that summer. I haven't caught any since. My best guess is that some came down from Bridgeport.

I've seen a couple of hybrids as far as lake worth. it only makes sense if they are upstream.
