It was nice to have Eagle Mountain at full pool this week, but I see that they are already releasing it.

Says discharge is zero. Don't have an explanation for your plot, but hope it settles at conservation pool.

No it will be several more months according to the web site. Their is still a lot of pipe laying along the road south of the dam.

Yeah. I live off of white settlement road west of 820 and every day I go home I can see the blue pipe laying around. They've completed the under the road part, but have more to go.

hopefully I am wrong.. but I think they didnt plan on raising the lake back to full pool until spring of 2008....so that means its gonna go back down so they can finish installation of the transfer pipe.

According to websites I've got, EM is at 649.08....649.0 is full. I'm not sure why that line is at 649.1.

They haven't lowered the lake any for the pipeline project!
The pipeline is complete into the lake, so there will not be any effect until they have it completed and can pump water into EM next spring. They let water out for Fort Worth to drink.

As an avid fisherman and Fort Worth Water Department employee I can tell you that with the Rolling Hills plant at limited capacity, the three treatment plants that use out of the west fork of the Trinity will be operating at a good pace and that my friends is why the lake will continue to drop until we get more rain. Expect no help from Bridgeport for a while either. It stinks but it's life.

I was there on Saturday fishing or should I say trying to catch bass, the spillway gates are open and water is flowing fast through them.

Unfortunately, it is more important to most people that their lawn is green, not that green fish are in your live well. The vast majority of the summer time increase in water usage is due to lawn irrigation. Water is a crucial resource and it is sad that we waste so much on the vanity of how our lawn looks. That is how it is though and until we start charging people for the real value of water, providing alternate resources for irrigation, such as reclaimed treated waste water, it will not change. We have politicians running water boards, not scientists and engineers, and we all know how they can keep [censored] screwed up.
