I have a short on my fish finder. It has no problem with power. If I turn it on, it will stay on. However, if I bump it, it will turn off. This is a problem because if Im running down the lake and I hit a wave even if small, my fish finder turns off. Any ideas on how to fix?

Couple of things. You can try to replace the power cable. This is pretty common issue on a lot of Humminbird graphs who use the PC 10-11 power cable.
I would first try and "slightly" bend out the pins inside the power cable. You want to bend the the top pin towards the top of the cable and the bottom pin towards the bottom. It doesn't take much, slightly bend them out. This will help the pins make better contact to the head unit. I would also clean them with some contact cleaner as well.

"bend" is too harsh for what is needed. Slightly adjust them in any direction, they still have to line up with the tiny holes in the unit receptacle. Also firmly tighten the cable collector thumb screw with your fingers.

Course, depth, time, time/date and position aren’t showing. Low voltage due to a poor connection will cause that issue.

You might try cleaning or replacing you battery connections also. I had one causing me problems even though the voltage checked fine.

This can be anywhere along the power cable. From the starting connection to the unit. I often find that when the boat gets bouncing and the unit turns off, there is too much weight pulling the power cable under the console. Ensure that the cable is zip tied where movement of the wiring harness doesn't shake it.
