I've been communicating with the folks at Ron Speed Adventures about booking a date for a trip to Comedero early next year. They just informed me they are booked full in January and February but they offered me three nights at the very end of March. Does anyone who has fished Comedero that time of year have any thoughts on the timing of that trip? I have already gone back into the past posts to see what information has been provided but it was fairly limited for that specific time of year.

I was there at the end of march this year. Fishing was okay for the 4 of us that went together, but not like comedero can be. We fished 4 days, between the 4 of us only 1 10lb fish was caught, 2 8lb and about 5 7lb. we caught about 50-60 fish a day per boat. It was hot, and they were dropping the lake level pretty fast. It was fallin about 6-10" a day. Last time I went was in Jan a couple years back and it was way better fishing IMO. My next trip will be Dec or Jan.

PM Donald Harper. He's a local authority. He also has some $25 spinner baits and a $600 mapping chip that might be very beneficial to you there. He's very helpful.

I sincerely appreciate all the replies but I have to admit...it never occurred to me that I would need a $600 mapping chip if I was on the lake with one of Ron Speed's guides.

I don't do Comedero. Maps are US. only. Your way off on the pricing; but pretty funny anyway.

Sorry I don't drive into Comedero. My trips all go to Oviachic.

Well at least you could sell the guy a baby doll Halloween regurgitated spinner bait to throw in a creek bend during a cold front for about $60 and at least make him feel like he's getting something special for his trip.

Cmon man, i'm trying to help you here.

We did it this past February and it was very disappointing. Cant really tell how it will fish this far off, but if you wait to book you won't get a spot. I'm doing 4 days on Picachos this February for my annual Mexican trip.
