I am thinking about a Big Easy or a Easy Cat. I currently run a 19.5' fiberglass Center Console. I am intrested in how these big metal boats handle. or any other input as far as that goes. Thanks in advance.

I absolutely love my Seaark 2472mv that I customized!!!! All I can say if you are going to step up to another or bigger boat I would get the 24 footer. You need the same stuff to fish in a 16 foot boat as you need in a 24 footer, expect the 24 footer wont be nearly as cluttered and way more accommodating to you and your guests. The ONE bad thing about my boat is it is a wet ride if the wind is over 15 mph. The nose hits the waves up and the wind blows it all over you which is great in the summer but sucks in the winter. Not sure why my boat does that but that in my opinion is the only con.
I thought going from an 1860 to a 2472 would be harder to handle, launch, load, drive, haul....I think in many ways its easier other than trying to pull in a small gas station.
Go big!

Be aware of the deadrise of whatever you buy as to suitability for where you intend to run it. The higher degree of deadrise, the smoother it will be in the chop. My 1872 CC has 3% and it will shake your fillings loose. The shape of the bow has less to do with smooth running in rough water than the deadrise. That said, Seaark builds really nice boats.

I've been looking at those same two boats. Either should have a much improved ride in the chop over the 2472 previously mentioned as they both have 15 hulls while the 2472 has a 3 hull. The Big Easy specs very close to the ProCat 240 and there are some videos on Youtube of the ProCat's ride. The additional length of the EasyCat should help it's ride even more over the Big Easy or ProCat 240. From my research the comments I've found about the ride on either boat have been positive.
I was initially attracted to the Big Easy but I've since converted to wanting the EasyCat as my next boat. The EasyCat does have a lot of additional features over the Big Easy.
