The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our sixth members only tournament on Saturday, July 13th on Lake Lavon. The weather was as good as you could ask for in July. Hot but not ridiculous with a good wind to help keep it comfortable. 41 boats came out on what turned out to be a pretty tough fishing day. The lake was just stabilizing after weeks of the gates being open and the fish were still settling in to their summer routine. At the end of the day, the team of Mark Calhoun and Keith Green ignored all that and whacked a giant bag weighing 21.60 with a kicker fish of 5.67. Vince Burt and Jamie Norris brought big bass to the scales with a 7.71 giant. Here are full results and pictures.

Preston Smith and David Horton with a hard to come by limit for 8.75




The hosts of our party at 4:30 on Saturday Illustrious Russell Olds and Matt Action Jackson had four for 8.86




Clint Yeager and Kevin Scott brought in four for 8.98




Chris Atkinson and myself weighed three for 9.65 with a 5.45 kicker




Paul Villarreal fished solo and had four for an adjusted 9.73




Clark Crenshaw fishing with guest Justin Graham weighed five for 10.33

Finishing sixth were Garrett Macias and RHBC alum Kelly Langhorne with a limit weighing 12.21




Finishing fifth were Adam Vesely and Taylor Gauntt with a limit weighing 12.46 keeping them in the thick of the AOY race




Finishing fourth were Vince Burt and Jamie Norris who had five for 13.20




Their bag included big bass of the tournament, a 7.71 beast




Finishing third were RHBC newcomers Kellen Worley and Daniel Helsley with a limit for an adjusted 16.28




Second place went to Eddy Wooldridge and Bryan Toombs who are tough on Lavon. They weighed an adjusted limit of 17.82
