Tungsten for smaller profile and less wind resistance but I am guessing 3 oz tungsten may be cost prohibitive.

There is a boat rental company which has taken over Towerbay. They have 1 up'd just screwing up the no wake and ramp. They park 8 boats and jet skis along the bank and allow the customers to pile mountains of trash all over. They now bring cars with no trailers in and block the ramp while they take 20 minutes unloading coolers and waiting for their time to start. The courtesy dock has 3 of their pontoons docked all weekend. The lake park Ranger guy hasn't been around since it was opened. He has always been a jerk, guess he is adding worthless to the list. If things don't change, someone will get injured there

Agree on TB! Somebody's gonna get hurt....accidently or on purpose. THE Ranger went on vacation as soon as the parks reopened.

Conroe was the worst I've ever seen. The sad part about Conroe, it would be a decent place to fish with less idiots.

Any lake close to a large city is going to be a zoo.

Frequent on dummies on Lewisville as well. Once the water warms enough for the ski/surf crowd, I do not fish there until the following spring.

It's bad enough in dealing with the numbskulls on the weekends with their wakers. But then they get stupid, too......I woulda chunked a 1 ounce egg sinker at yo'face if yo'diddit ta me....

Keep in mind that if you actually were to have a jet skier run between you and the bank as you made a cast AND they were to get snagged by a 3/4oz trap in Rayburn Red color...�.. the cops could be called, you could be requested to go to the boat ramp, the aforementioned jetskier's father might think that he needs to whip you and the ensuing mess might have to only be rectified by your refusal to beach your boat until the local GW arrived to help sort it all out.... I'm j/s, it could be a royal pita.

The worst I have ever seen was Lake of the Ozarks. It looks like a big bass tourney on Fork with pirate ships, party boats, cigarette boats, yachts, jet fleas, and wake boats for 50 miles. You can't just go around the next bend and escape it either. There are areas where we were in the middle of 100 boats and everyone is going in a different direction.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, marina lady (yea, the get off my yard lady) is hollering at people if there is a slight break of white behind your boat. I get the wake deal, but sailboats can haul with no wake. I've had a few almost run over me at some lakes while in the marina.

weekdays aren't even safe right now on Conroe.
