I really thought 20 years ago we would all be driving vehicles powered by natural gas, butane or propane.
The engines would last forever.

Its hard to get so many idiots in a single place. They probably think all electricity is carbon free coming from solar and windmills when its actually coming from Natural Gas and Coal.
Most of the things they would present as green such as electric cars arent all that green if you look at the whole process.
If they really want to do something turn off the electricity and park the vehicles even the Prius.

Why? They arent accomplishing anything. Natural Gas is a pretty clean fuel. By eliminating it they will be getting more out of state coal fired electricity.

Why? They arent accomplishing anything. Natural Gas is a pretty clean fuel. By eliminating it they will be getting more out of state coal fired electricity. They voted for the people in power and the people in power voted to end building houses with natural gas. That's how it works. I'm indifferent on government working as it is intended. I don't live there and "there" has zero impact on my life. The also rewrote build code specs to elimnate gender specific terms like manhole cover. They do some hippie things in Berkely. It's as normal as playing bongo drums naked in Ausitn.

Issue is they want to bring it here too. and your seeing more and more of it in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. Folks in those large population centers better wake up soon or we're all in trouble.

Pacific Gas and Electric Co supported their decision. Probably because they will make more money by only providing electricity.
Since Berkley's electricity comes from out of state, those coal plants don't impact Berkeley. Pretty funny.

It wasnt that long ago that clean burning natural gas was our savior. It was going to wipe out coal and power our large trucks. Boone Pickett was really on this. Now ,where trends start , it too has also been determined to be destroying the planet. The positive to this is the power generating companies/states selling to California sure ecstatic.Californians already pay a premium and at some point will suffer outages but that is their choice.
