Thinking if taking my boat down to galveston, deep v.. never tried it before, any suggestions on where I should try and fish at in bay. Never taken it before and have my doubts. Going down august 2nd weekend.

The salinity is down due to the amount of fresh water being dumped by the rivers. East bay seems to be the least affected.

You can put in at the end of the Texas City Dike. Has great ramps and plenty of parking. You can go most anywhere from that location. Latest word is that catching is good around G-town. Dollar Reef, Bolivar Gas Wells, The Concrete Ship area, near the Causeway Bridge and RR track area, The Jetties, and around SeaWolf Park are a few good places. Bring you some shade with ya! You can all the bait you need and supplies at Boyd's One Stop Bait/Tackle at the base of the Dike. $5 Fee to get on the Dike on weekends. Stay safe.
