My son and I want to go to Fork this weekend . Few questions ...
1. Any major tourney we should be aware of ? (Hopefully not since it’s HOT)
2. How’s lake fishing? Any general pattern/depth to work? Don’t need honey holes

No clue on tournaments but they were eating a hollow body frog today out there. Had a couple of dock bites too.

Isn't the annual high school tournament this weekend? Check the lake fork chamber page because I am pretty sure there is a high school tournament this weekend, two days. Yep - 19-21st - https://lakeforkchamber.org/lakeforkopen

Its amazing how many fish are still up so shallow right now. Decent size too. I am catching them way, way back in creeks. More this year than in recent years.

Locate bait, grass, and stained water up shallow and you will find a population of fish. For bigger fish my advise would be to go deep.

Probably between 120-150 teams for the Lake Fork HS Open. Nothing to be concerned about as far as # of boats.
