First off congrats on the catch!

I mostly just lurk these days but had to reply when I saw this. I caught two mirrors when I fished Lake Bran a bit back when I was in college. Never caught one before and haven't caught one since. From what I've heard that lake is pretty nutrient deficient and fish of all kinds that call it home seem to be pretty stunted. However, the gene pool does seem to be skewed to produce an abnormal number of mirror carp.

Dug back through my old posts to try to find the picture of the first mirror I caught from Lake Bryan. It's been a minute since I tried to post a picture on here so hopefully it works.

Gorgeous fish! thumb thumb

Catch and release. The dream - to catch one of every species of Freshwater fish in our great state! If only I can resist Carp...

Awesome! I've only seen a few mirror carp in all the hundreds of carp I've bowfished through the years. Hard to find!
