Just general discussion. Looking to update my graphs eventually. Which brand do y'all think is at the top of the list right now and why? I run Lowrance currently and am not biased. Hummingbird Mega 360 looks amazing and Garmin Livescope looks to have outdueled Lowrance Livesight. Thoughts?

Ive had Helix, now have Carbons.
Theyre all really good. They all are outdated in two years. Haha. I went with Lowrance because it works with my poles and audio stuff.
Pick the ones you like best.

I just may have to agree with Medina. I've been a Lowrance guy forever, but recently added a Garmin up front. My Lowrance Ti9 and my Ulterra's USB wasn't getting along and have always wanted side imagining on the bow, so I picked me up a Garmin Striker SV9. The Striker was very affordable and has a smaller transducer that easily fits to the foot of the Ulterra. Even though it isn't one of Garmin's top of the line units, it has amazing imagery and I am very satisfied. I have a Lowrance Ti12 at the console and was going to use the Ti9 solely for mapping since the two are linked. There is now a strong possibility that I will replace the Lowrance units and go Garmin.

Love my 93SV at the console !! But, I had a Striker SV9 on the bow and could not get the Terrova interference out of it, I tried everything, and finally took it back and got a Hummingbird 9 Mega. I have two HB's on the bow and a HB and Garmin on the console. The Garmin has the best Down and Side Imaging. The new HB has Mega and its ok,...I have the HBs because Garmins wont accept Lakemaster chips.

Lowrance has always been my go to, but Garmin is making a run for its money.

They are all good Its quickly becoming a trolling motor and anchoring compatibility, networking, and software preference Soon, everything electronic in the boat will be managed on your smart phone, just like some control their house alarm/cameras/hvac/garage door/lights
Lowrance is most compatible with a third party software program I use for sonar logging, home PC sonar viewing, and map generation

Lowrance, Garmin, Humminturds in that order
I pulled the birds off, & I run 2 Lowrance Carbons & 1 Garmin with livescope
Carbons have a much better picture than the older touch units.

I have had Lowrance HDS units in the past, and I now have 2 Humminbird Helix CHIRP MEGA units. The Humminbirds are way better than the Lowrance units IMO. If money was no object, I would look at Garmin with Panoptics.

I have a live 12 that the 2d and side scan is pretty good, the DI is [censored]! I am also chasing a touch issue that I may have dialed into the map chip in slot 1, will find out for sure on Thursday. If touch still doesnt work right I have a return auth with Lowrance. When I do it again, I will go back to birds!
My Elite ti 12 is decent but side scan isnt crisp.
