I will be in Tampa, FL for Labor Day weekend and was looking to get some fishing in on the Gulf with my brother-in-law.
Open to any suggestions for guides to book, or NOT to book.
Thanks for the recommendations.

Im going to Clearwater on Thursday, I am taking my 5yr old son on a inshore trip. I am also going to do an allday tarpon trip while there. I have never been fishing there, so im just going with guides based on reviews.

We were in the area just a couple of weeks ago.

We stayed in Clearwater 6/18-21. My daughter & I took a half day trip with Captain Jimmy Bennett on Thursday 6/20 for trophy snook. Captain Jimmy was awesome. His boat was clean & orderly. He was great with my 8 year old daughter. She caught the first & biggest snook of the trip. We were on the water by 7:00 and off around noon. I believe we caught 5 snook and a couple other good bites. Man do those big snook FIGHT! I highly suggest Captain Jimmy. We will use him again if we are in the area.

We were free lining grunts (piggy perch) on 8 medium spinning rods with 4000 size spinning reels. 2 thumbs up. It was a great time.

I should also add that I felt Captain Jimmy was very safe. I asked if we needed to provided a life jacket for my daughter a few days before the trip but he had one. He actually had 2 for us to chose from. The boat ride was dry and I never felt uncomfortable. He was first class.

He also has a Facebook & Instagram page he keeps up with
