Yep that is a good use but I hate those colorless marbles. Another use is for the bottom of a Beta fish bowl.

That is a preferred use. I would start with the 1/2rimfire marbles and step up to the 3/4 Win mag marbles and for the big game, the 1 fifty cal marbles.

Have no doubt, they should be taken seriously as wrist rocket ammo.

Some may be worth a lot of money. I'd carefully examine them one by one before I lotted them out. It might be worth your time, even if it took you all night.

This link will give you a general idea of what some could be worth:

Thanks but I know what I have. Yes they are vintage marbles but just that. Some of those marbles were probably sold by me. I sold on eBay for a few years. These marbles would do well on eBay if you can put up with the whiners.

Hop there are much better slingshots these days than the old wrist rockets.

Cast, here are some pictures of a glass stream bed I made out of 600 pounds of fire pit pebbles. I could use some marbles to make another stream bed in the wife's wild west flower bed.

We can certainly do that. Mine will be very much more colorful though. Very very much. Ill get some pics up from the cave soon. Do you water that or is it supposed to emulate a stream? I do have some beautiful cobalt blue single color 1/2 marbles in stock. But dont know how many.

I have 2 big antique display cases full of the old marbles. Wish you had boxes of these.

Cast, the creek bed does not have water it is lined with landscape fabric and edged by plastic paver edging. If I build one out of marbles I will add a small waterfall behind the mountain lion in the picture and have it flow through the creek bed ending in a small pond by the bison. That part of the yard is under shade most of the day so it makes a real nice area for a water feature.

Be handy to keep a cup of marbles in the car to toss a couple out of the sunroof when being tailgated.

I took some pics -

[Linked Image]

From the right, a few stone agates. I may keep those. Dunno. Next is the extremely rare factory mistake. Frosted Mexican ketchup and mustard, supposed to be gloss finish. I bought them all. Very rare. Next a couple of American made mixes. That is how they usually come. Each box unique. Then a proper sample of gloss Mexican ketchup and mustard. On the very end looks like two samples of Gus the goat marbles from Guss barn in East Texas. Nothing fancy, but they have a story any most likely pretty old.

All these boxes are full of marbles except the little one on the far right.

More boxes of marbles.
