My pointer hates fireworks. She's had hundreds of quail shot over her but thunder and fireworks drives her crazy. You have any thunder dogs?

Yep, my wife had 2 lap dogs that can't stand thunder, fireworks or gunshots.

Our Schnauzers do pretty good with thunder but they don't do well at all with fireworks. I have had bird dogs as well that you could shoot over all day but fireworks would freak them out big time.

Mine is 6 months old. Every time a storm has rolled in I take him on the patio. Each time it thunders I give him a treat. If we see sharp lightning I give him a treat

He loves storms now!

I live less than a mile from Bedford Boys Ranch. With their big annual show, I am anxious to see how it goes tomorrow night. I plan to try the same thing

Schnauzer is fine with thunder, but gets nervous with fireworks if shes outside. Inside shes fine. Same with guns.

What a maroon!

Very good idea. Mine has recently started pacing around the house during lightning storms. She's fine with guns though.

We had a brown Dachshund that wondered up at work during a thunderstorm.

I took him home and he never did get over the smell of rain or the sound of thunder. He would get visibly upset at either one.

He passed away last year . He was a good dog. I miss him every day. RIP Peanut.

flehan

My dogs don't seem to care.
I've asked them on numerous occasions if they are okay with fireworks and they just roll their eyes at me like I'm some kind of helicopter parent. Whatever.

My dog is deaf now, but back in the day thunder or fireworks drove her to bury up somewhere
