My HDS 7 in the console has started to NOT give me a depth. I turn it off and back on --- then it will give depth for only a moment , then It seem to loose the signal. I have check the connections and the angle of transducer on back of my boat. Could the transducer be bad.?

That would be one of the first things that I would suspect. You could also try doing a soft/hard reset on the unit to see if it helps. Be sure and backup your WRT and settings prior to performing the resets. If you can borrow another transducer just dangle it over the side of the boat and see if it corrects the problem.

Try this if you have not already. PAGES - SETTINGS - SONAR - RESET FISHING or SONAR DEFAULTS
