Nobody tell Kap that Nike was the Greek goddess of victory and that the Greeks owned slaves.

No. A much better comparison is Nike vs. a direct competitor, such as Under Armour. Over the last 12 months, Nike is up 33% but UA is up 52%, so Nike has substantially underperformed.
May be a better comparison, but the % stats you used to support the argument aren’t the strongest. Nike market cap is ~$110 billion and Under Armour is ~$10 billion. Market cap is irrelevant to this analysis. A $10,000 investment in Nike made 1 year ago would now be worth $13,333, whereas the same investment in Under Armour would now be worth $15,200, i.e., Nike has materially underperformed vs. their direct competition. I have no doubt that some of this reflects their politics. There's a lot you have to look at and consider, and market cap would certainly be a part of the equation. Under Armor is a far riskier investment, and you should be paid for that risk (not that you are in the case of UA, but you should be). Their standard deviation is double what Nike's is. Nike gets you a track record of solid, long-term growth. UA has a very short track record, and most of that record is wiping out wealth. It's still a big question if they will ever recoup those losses. Nike pays a dividend - and has for like 40 years. UA pays nothing. UA's uncertainty going forward is *much* larger than Nike's. To say UA has out performed Nike is looking at a tiny, distorted, part of the pie. For my serious money, I'll take Nike everyday over UA. That's strictly from a financial perspective - I can get why someone might not want to own a particular company for some other reason.

They have basically tracked with the market. Their political views have had no real effect on them.
