Any of the hooded ones, it helps keeping the direct sunlight off my bald head and ears. Then a boonie hat on top of that... but when its over 90, no breeze, sunlight beating down on you, its just that, hot...

Simms for me because I found one on sale at LFM, now I love them. Hood and thumb keeper to cover the backs of my hands. I should wear the fingerless fishing gloves, but I dont like the loss of feeling

Hanes Men's Long Sleeve Cool Dri T-Shirt UPF 50+, X-Large, 2 Pack ,Black
Sold by: Amazon.com Services, Inc
Return eligible through Jul 14, 2019
$18.00

Bought a couple of packs of these to try for a weeks trip down south , they were as comfortable as 109 Degree temps/ 20-30 mph winds on Falcon would allow. Fit is pretty true to size, holds shape after washing, light and thin but no problems with exposure to the sun. Going to buy some more.

I like the Aftco Samuari Hooded Long Sleeve Shirts. They're $40. Subscribe to their emails and you'll know when you can catch them on sale

I love the fabric that xotic uses for their shirts. I just spent a week wade fishing at South Padre and these shirts are the most comfortable Ive worn. Check out the sale page for some huge discounts and use the coupon code texags25 for another 25% off. https://xoticcamoandfishing.com/collections/sale?page=1

The Magellan long sleeve pull over shirts are $20 at Academy. At the end of the summer theyll usually have a clearance sale and offload the button ups. Bought a bunch for less than $10 a piece the last couple of years. The color selection may be lacking but for a knock around shirt its a great deal.

I started off with Magellan shirts. Once I got my first Columbia shirt is was much cooler and comfortable and have stayed with them since. The Columbia shirts also seem to last longer also. Yes they are more expensive.

I didn't list Simms, which is what I wear, because they're not in the OP's price range. Are the Columbia shirts at Academy $40 or less?

Spent alot of years on the water. Didn't think much of protection in my younger days. I'm paying for it now. I use the Columbia PFG long sleeve. They're about $50 . Not cheap. You can pay now or pay later. Dont forget the ears.

I have a pretty good bunch of Simms that I have brought here and there for $40 ea. To me they are better because the neck fits better and thumb deals on the sleeves protect the back of your hands some.
