Are they still there? Do they move deeper?
Headed to Galveston next weekend and the forecast doesnt look good.

Not sure about Galveston. In Matagorda they should still be there. Next weekend is a longs ways off. Even the day before is sometimes too soon. Best bet is to plan on fishing the surf and have a plan B & C. Lay eyes on the surf (early morning bite is best). If not fishable then go to plan B.

If the water is clean they should be there, but fighting the waves is going to be your issue. We always seem to catch them in the 2nd gut, so if the surf is rough, you really won't be able to fish it without getting your butt kicked.

actually even if it's dirty the fish can be there, but it's the wave conditions that make it hard for us to fish. Jetties can be fished when you can't fish the surf and you can find some fish.
