Here's the 17 pounder I caught on Lake Travis last month on rod & reel -- the largest (by far) freshwater fish I've ever landed. Here's a flathead -- 6 lbs if I remember correctly:

OP funfishin Outdoorsman F Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 72 north central texas	thanx guys, and by the way...., am rookie on this darned old coputy-stuff... but as you see... not a rookie angler. been fishin this lake for about 30-years.... my grand-pa helped to build it and i used to get to ride the bulldozers with him as a boy. learned of the levees,rock-pits, river beds, and all that kinda stuff. but over the last couple years, i been trying to really target some of the big ole monster cats. these are some trot-line fish, all caught in the same area, with only one line out with about 15-20 hooks. with some really big blue gill bream, green ear sun fish type baits.... man i just luv this stuff.... to bad i must go to work every day like most folks..... hahaha... or i would just EAT-SLEEP-FISH... for the rest of my days...hahaha. any ways... thx again and , yall post a few pics. of some of yer best fish... i would luv to see-um....
