Yesterday I caught a 4.5lb Largemouth Bass at Buffalo Springs Lake in Lubbock. I would have never believed it. When you live out here this is the only place to go for a few hours on the lake. Here is an example of an over fished, under stocked little lake in the middle of nowhere. Now I'm looking for that 10lb 'er.

Believe it or not, there are some good fish there. I would not eat them, but I have caught several in the 3 lb range and one that was like yours, just over 4 lbs. I Ihave heard of an 8 lber caught, but never saw it. GOOD LUCK and keep reporting them. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

I think you might have caught the biggest one in the lake already..... I enjoyed attending Tech (class of 2001) but the worst thing about it was the distance to get to a good lake!! Definitely spent some time on Buffalo.
It's only a good cast if you catch a fish... Personal Best: 11.62 lbs
