Headed out to pk next week for the 4th of july weekend with the family. Has the water cleared up any since all of the rain and flooding of the Brazos?

Better stay way up a creek somewhere. It'll look like the ocean on the main lake on July 4th!

I fished dock lights Saturday. It's still muddy but I like it better that way anyway.

Thanks for the info. I figured it was still muddy which I like fishing but was just wondering so I could get rigged up before I head out there.

I have caught one or two largemouth in Neely Slough the last couple trips. I caught them both mid day on bluff banks on chatterbait. I am terrible fisherman though but did get lucky...so take this info with a grain of salt and listen to others before me...but hoping it might help ya get started!

Better stay way up a creek somewhere. It'll look like the ocean on the main lake on July 4th! I agree, my second home is on PK, I tried to fish the main lake last Saturday, I gave up due to the idiots with cigar boats, jet skis, boats overloaded with g string bikini girls... I went back to my regular fishing spot on the North end of the lake, my grandsons and I caught a lot of good fish, nothing over five pounds but most in 2 - 3 pound range and few in the 4 pound range. I don't know how many we caught in three days I would guess 45 to 50 fish. V&M wild black and blue was ticket, one place I caught three fish on three casts with the same bait. I'll go back after the 4th holidays; leave it to the weekend warriors. I posted some pictures of my boys on the Whites Hybrids Striper forum under Possum Kingdom Lake Report.
