If I clean fish right now I'm just burying them where I'm planing my garden. This probably not optimal. What is the best way when using fish carcass to get rich compost?

I will offer a wonderful method that works excellent but the neighbors will not care for it at all. I used the about 8-10 gallon buckets with the screw on lids. These I got from a pool maintenance man. I washed and bleached them out good before starting. I then put my scraps from cleaning catfish daily and filled with water. I let them set for for a period of 30-60 days or more. I then took the water from the buckets and added a quart to the gallon and used it as a top dressing on every row in the garden. I had a very odoriferous garden/yard and it was not overly popular with the few neighbors I have. My companion told me the next time I performed that stunt I would be sleeping outside until the smell dissipated. That only took a couple or four days. The garden went wild, but I highly doubt it will win any popularity contest. The smell was nearly gaging and I removed my clothes and threw them away before entering the house. This year I kept large gizzard shad and other ruff fish and used a post hole digger. I put a good bit under each corn plant. We made some of the best Honey Select sweet core we have ever had and it came in two weeks earlier than anyone elses around.
