Our boats have a lot of wiring circuits in them and it can get pretty confusing as to what's what or where it goes. Take the time to tag each circuit (sometimes at both ends). The best tags I have found are at Sprouts. In the area that sells bulk items like nuts, grains, etc they have little plastic ties for the bags that you write the items codes on. Get a few of them and mark them with a permanent marker. Twist them around each set of wires and you will have a permanent note for the wires use. Us old guys know stuff.

Great Idea, and.... The next time, and every other time you run a wire, or pull a wire out, tie a small string to the end if the wire you run, and once its through, cut it and leave it in the run. That way the string is there for the next time you want to run a wire. Simply tie the new wire, with a new string, to the string already through the run, and pull it through. Voila'
