I've recently started experimenting with using glo-sticks when I do night fishing. I attach them to the leader about 5-6" above my bait. I've used this method on a couple trips so far. Was productive 1 night on a lake I hardly ever catch enough to eat. Took home 12 eatin' size channels. Maybe was luck or timing or maybe the glo-stick actually helped. I'm going to continue trying this method on a few trips soon where i'll be targeting flatheads at night on live perch/bluegill and cut bait/big shad heads. What are yall's thoughts &/or experiences?

I have never used them at the bait. I used them above my cork pushed in a plastic tube so I knew when it went under.

Ive used them in that manner except i put mine on my rod tips, makes it so much easier to notice any action in the dark when you have 6 rods out. But using as an attractant, I attach mine right above my peg float but my float is on about 12-16 off bottom attached to my leader about 4-6 above the bait. Im actually on my way to the lake right now, gonna fish til 3:00am. Ill have 4 lines in the water, im gonna use glo-sticks on 3 of them. I havent quite figured out what depth theyre holding at since the move but ill be trying 8-15 of water. Im currently limited to bank fishing. Ill post some pictures if I find any fish.

I've used them along with corks because it's cheaper to break that off than a battery-powered lighted cork. Shallow in our cove, the chartruese yellow/green sticks seem to outperform the other colors when used like that.
