We hit High Island about daylight to find perfect conditions...



Brooke was trying to catch a trout in the surf and I noticed the sunrise behind her, had to grab the camera...




Within minutes, I was hooked up...







And another...



My wife had 2 of her own with one being a biggie...

OK, rookie question. What do you do with the sharks once you've taken the picture? Do you actually use your hand to remove the hook? Any tips?

cut the leader off at the hook. Don't want to mess with a five foot shark!!!!!

They have these grabbers you can use to get the hooks out of a sharks mouth. I saw it on the outdoors channel when they had a shark tourny. It's a foot long thin tube with a claw at the end and a push rod to open the claw. You close the claw on the hook and work it out without putting your hand in the mouth. I've seen them make smaller ones for just handy tools in getting screws/nuts out of tight places.

Yeah, I got one of those, but they don't work well with circle hooks.
